A profound experience, in the truest and most intense sense.
A beautiful opportunity to meet and confront a different reality, in a wounded country, in a difficult land. The tension due to the short time available to finish the painting accompanied the 10 days in Lebanon, together with the strong desire to give this community of Salesians a meaningful painting that invites reflection and smiles.”
During the restoration of the Church of Hossoun, in Lebanon, devastated by humidity and infiltrations that have damaged the structure, Raffaele Gerardi decided to donate a painting, his own particular illustrated interpretation of Don Bosco.
An illustration that reveals and recounts in images the depth of the pastoral mission of the Father and Founder of the Salesians.
The restoration was commissioned by “Togheter Onlus” of Nello Rega and Raffaele Gerardi.
